Kenyon Woods Physical Education/Health

Basic Information:

7th and 8th Grade Girls Basketball is a Cut sport meaning that tryouts will be held for both levels. AT MOST 15 players will be taken for each grade level.

Tryout Information

January 10th and 11th, 2024

       8th grade will be BEFORE school at 7:00AM

       7th grade will be AFTER school at 3:30PM

 

We will be evaluating you on the following:

• Basic basketball skills: such as dribbling, shooting, defense, and passing

• Attitude

• Sportsmanship

• Endurance

• Academics

• Behavior

Practices: 
8th grade practices will be BEFORE school 7:00 - 8:30AM
7th grade practices will be AFTER school 3:30 - 5:00PM

Transportation:
Activity buses run every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and leave from Kenyon Woods parking lot promptly at 5pm. If your student is taking the activity bus, please assure that they are aware of their bus stop and activity bus route number. All student athletes must have their parent/guardian pick them up at 5:00pm.

Fees and Forms:

If you make the team, there will be an athletic fee of $80.00.  If your family receives free/reduced lunch you can apply for a wavier.  Checks are made payable to "Kenyon Woods Middle School" OR you can pay on infinite campus.  All fees must be paid prior to the first game.

All forms within the packet must be completed prior to tryouts.  This includes the sports physical.  You will not be permitted to try out if all forms are not completed.  Refer to the checklist below for assistance.
