Kenyon Woods Physical Education/Health

Basic Information:
Intramural soccer for both 7th and 8th grade girls will begin Wednesday, April 3rd. Practices will be three times a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) from 3:30pm to 5:00pm every week until the tournament on Saturday, May 11th.

Equipment and Practices:
All players are expected to have the proper equipment including shin guards, socks, and shoes (preferably soccer shoes). Students will also need to supply their own water bottle and pack for the weather. We will be practicing rain or shine. If a practice does need to be canceled, an announcement will be given over the school intercom. Students will be allowed to use the locker rooms for changing, however, should take their belongings with them to the field as they will not be able to lock up their stuff. After changing, players should meet outside of the C wings doors near the soccer field for attendance. If it is raining, students will meet near the doors closest to the soccer fields (C Wing) for attendance and any announcements.

Transportation:
Activity buses run every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and leave the Kenyon Woods parking lot promptly at 5:00 pm. If your student will be taking the activity bus, please assure that they are aware of their bus stop and activity bus route number. All student-athletes planning on getting a ride home must have their parent/guardian pick them up at 5:00 pm.

Fees and Forms:
The cost to play is $20.00 per student to pay for tournament and t-shirt fees (Cash or check made out to Kenyon Woods Middle School). If there is a concern with payment, please reach out directly to Coach Ventrella. All forms and fees must be given to Coach Ventrella at, or prior, to their first practice. No exceptions! The soccer informational packet includes a consent to participate, waiver of insurance, and an informational concussion sheet.

Tournament: The district soccer tournament will be held on Saturday, May 11th. At most 22 students from each grade level will be selected to play on the tournament team. Details regarding further information, tournament team, location, and timeline will be provided closer to the date of the tournament.
